How it Works

The VCS Credit Recovery program allows school districts to partner with VCS in providing for accelerated, condensed courses offered through our course catalog. The VCS Credit Recovery program will assess the student when entering the program and design an individualized plan for the student in need of recovery.

Qualification

To qualify for a credit recovery course, a school district official must certify that the student has previously failed the course and needs to complete the course. Credit recovery is a partnership between VCS and the local school district and cannot be accessed by an individual student.

Pricing

Credit recovery students are charged a per-course fee of $199. Health and Physical Education are priced at the half-credit fee of $149.

Although the school district may refer a student for credit recovery, the district can be invoiced for the student’s course fee, or the individual can pay for the course through PayPal online.

District of Record

The local school district is the district of record, and after receiving notice of grade completion, will be responsible for providing the official grade for the course.

Credit recovery students can be entered into the class as soon as one business day following their payment for the course.
