Welcome to the Virtual Community School of Ohio (VCS Ohio).

VCS Ohio is a K-12 charter school sponsored by the Reynoldsburg City School District in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Our school district is funded through tax dollars provided by the Ohio Department of Education.

History is being made in the field of education due to the virtually unlimited access to information and resources available through the Internet. VCS Ohio offers Web-based courses for grade levels kindergarten through 12th grade. College preparatory level courses will be offered starting the second semester.

VCS Ohio’s Web-based learning programs provide students with an individual curriculum which is carefully structured to align with the standards as required by the State of Ohio. Our online program connects students with certified teachers who use exciting technologies and learning tools which are designed to meet the individual needs of every student enrolled. Student connectivity to their teacher is merely an e-mail and/or phone call away. Students receive the necessary support and guidance from certified teachers that provide them every opportunity to excel in self-directed and self-paced learning.

As a student in our online program, students have the opportunity to learn from the best teachers, libraries, museums and information archives in the world. The lessons are interactive and enhanced by brilliant graphics, stereo sound and multimedia pictures. At specified time periods, students submit their assignments to their teacher for comments, review and assessment.

VCS Ohio’s online learning program provides students with many opportunities to think and learn independently. If your son or daughter has not yet experienced this educational approach, we are confident that you will be pleased to discover how much his or her attitude toward life and learning will improve in this educational environment.
